An IOP is another stepping stone into a recovery-based lifestyle but without the residential component. Our intensive outpatient program provides the support and structure of addiction treatment as clients transition back into society. Clients receive care on a schedule that fits their needs while returning home in the evenings to take care of their other responsibilities. The Next Best Step After Residential Drug Treatment
For people who are new in recovery, it is tempting to dive headfirst back into life with a renewed outlook and a sober mindset. However, addiction recovery takes daily effort, especially in the beginning. Our intensive outpatient program helps people ease back into life as they learn to make accommodations for their new lifestyle.
Even people who have been sober for years—and have undergone a powerful transformation in order to get the life they want—experience relapse. It often starts with drinking alcohol which lowers inhibitions and causes people to make decisions they otherwise wouldn’t make. If you find yourself forgetting the consequences and focusing only on the positive aspects of drug use, this is an indication that your sobriety is in jeopardy. Getting lost in self-pity when it seems like everyone else can drink or use drugs without consequences is another indication that you should go to an AA or NA meeting. If you still feel yourself slipping after going to meetings for a day or so, you might need more daytime structure. Avedis Recovery can help.
Los Angeles Intensive Outpatient Therapy
Not every person with substance use issues is able to put their life on hold in order to check back into inpatient treatment. If you don’t have the option of completing an inpatient program, the intensive outpatient program (IOP) at our downtown campus offers the same comprehensive programs without the residential component.
In addition to our intensive outpatient program, we also offer the following addiction treatment options:
- Inpatient drug and alcohol detox
- Residential addiction treatment
- Trauma-informed care
- Alcoholics Anonymous
- Narcotics Anonymous
At Avedis, we are committed to helping vulnerable people get the help they need in order to take back control of their lives. Drug addiction and alcoholism are a prison for many of us, and reaching out for help is the first step toward freedom. Addiction recovery is personal to us, and we’ll do whatever we can to help get you onto the right path. No transportation? We’ll pick you up. No place to stay? We’ll help you find a good LA sober living facility. Your family doesn’t support your recovery? We’ll bring them in for counseling. More than anything, we want our clients to feel supported and know that their lives matter. Struggling with addiction isn’t a moral issue; the combination of genetic factors, environment, trauma, difficulty handling stress, and the pressure of medication management cause so many people to become trapped by chemical dependence.
